The duster does pick up dust, pollen etc, but also leaves behind a lot of small pieces of red strand that then need dusting off with something else! Should I wash the duster before use?

I bought this as I have a black car the car is always clean with keeping the car in a carport the dust cyclones and settles on the car.
I was dubious at first about this duster after watching a few guides on youtube I thought I would give it a go.
It is very effective does leave a few strands but I am sure with time this will stop as its just the loose ones
